The Dirty Details (minus the dirty)...

To answer a few questions:

Due Date: Sept. 3rd It was originally August 27th, but the doc pushed it back a week (BOO!)
How did we find out? Funny story! This baby is a 100% natural, homemade, no medical help needed surprise. Since I nursed Kerrigan until her 1st birthday, my ability to reproduce did not return until September.
Since I was still really irregular, we didn't really think anything of its 7 1/2 week absence, until I started feeling sick in the mornings. I finally decided to take a pregnancy test after being sick for a week.
So I took the test, only to realize I didn't have the directions anymore (it was an old test) to read the results...AWESOME : ) So I (literally) ran to Target and bought an easy to read test and low and behold:
(see how the first one could be misread. I didn't know if there was supposed to be a plus sign or just 2 lines...)
How am I feeling? Not so hot. Very sick actually.
For the first week, I was pumped because I was only sick in the mornings- so excited to finally experience just morning sickness.
However, a week later, the real deal hit. I can't seem to keep food down, which is fun : ) Yesterday I was so excited because I ONLY threw up 3 times...HOT DOG!!!
I feel awful for my poor family. Jared is really having to pick up my slack, which I appreciate so much. And Kerrigan...I can't really talk about it without crying. She is handling my sickness like a champ, but I am feeling like a terrible mother! Hopefully it won't last too long and she will get her mommy back!
Hope this isn't too much complaining...we are surviving, and that is what counts : )
My size? Despite the sickness weight loss, my stomach is growing at an astonishing rate! I had Jared take a picture last Saturday, and when we were looking at it, he asked why I was sticking my stomach out.
SERIOUSLY?!??!?!?!!? He has since learned those are never appropriate words to say to a pregnant woman.
In his defence, he really hasn't seen me in anything other than t-shirts for the past few weeks. Ooops!
What gender are we hoping for?
Part of us wants to fulfill Jared's lifelong dream of having a boy...the other part thinks it would be fun to have 2 girls so close in age (20 months apart).
Either way, we are so excited to have a new little one in our home!

Poor Lindsey, I feel bad for ya, but I know how you feel. I spoke to soon because I told everyone that I dont get sick and then bang this one just hit me. The fact that you even said hot dog in your story made me wanna throw up. Bradley is picking up my slack too, I feel so bad. Hope you get better soon and I hope your doctor will let you come to the reunion.
oh and by the way Bradley still might be going to Penn. we arent really sure but they said possible in like 2 to 3 weeks so if thats the case I'll have to come and see you hopefully.

ugh. You have my pitty. I have first hand knowledge of how bad morning sickness can be. But I can't imagine trying to take care of another child while completely nausiated. With any luck you will do your time in the first trimester and hopefully you feel much better after that!

Looks like the real deal! It seems like our family is growing like a litter of rabbits, I can't believe there will be two new additions within 6 months. Sure love it though, and will love it more when I don't have to travel so far to see my beautiful grandchildren...I know, send Kerrigan to Grandma for the next couple of months, I'm sure we could figure something out. Love MOM

congrats! that's the same age gap my two will be.. i'll let you know how it goes? i'm scared. lol! we didn't plan ours this close either, so i'm hoping the man upstairs has something figured out! :] sorry you are sick! that is soooo hard. kerrigan won't judge you. she is actually probably loving being independent. i know tenley loved the fact that she was allowed to watch absurd amounts of cartoons some days. anyway good luck & hope you feel better very soon! and enjoy "heavenly" second trimester.

I kept meaning to write you! Congrats!

Your comment on my blog was too funny! I've tried the crying it out thing and I don't think I have the stamina for it. She doesn't seem to get tired of crying :(

So where have I been in the last month?! Congratulations!!

Personally, I'm rooting for a girl...but maybe that's because I grew up with soooo many brothers?

Wow! Congrats on #2!
okay about sleeping arrangements! Brock was born when Jovie was 13 months. Brock slept in the pack in play until he was 4 months old. Jovie moved to a big girl bed at 16 months...and it went smoothly! I kept her old crib open so it wouldn't look like Brock came in and stole it from her. She was rather attached to her bed, as all children are. :0)
And I WISH I had a jogging stroller. I only have a Sit-N-Stand, and have loved it. You can still put a car seat in the front.
Good luck!

I can totally sympathize with the guilt you feel when it comes to Kerrigan. I found out I was pregnant with Emma when Abi was only 9 months old-SURPRISE!-and I was so sick and tired all the time...I could not take care of her and I felt HORRIBLE about it all the time. Don't worry though, she will be ok and forget all about it once you're feeling better and up and around. Hang in there! Congrats though, this is really exciting!!!
