What a Year Can Do...

One year ago (plus 3 days, I am running a little late : ), we received this blessing :

Now, just 368 short days later we have a rambunctious, ball of energy whose favorite past times include running and unrolling toilet paper in the bathroom.

How does a tiny 5 lb newborn grow so quickly? I am glad you asked!

I have put together a little visual presentation to demonstrate this phenomenon to you. I tried to include momentous firsts, such as eating solids, sitting, meeting Carter...you know, the important stuff!

(side note: I was not going to put this many pictures on. I had every intention of cutting out many of them. However, I uploaded them backwards, and it took me so long to fix- didn't want everyone to view K's life Benjamin Button style- I decided to leave them all on. I realize in doing so I am breaking my own blogging rule, and opening myself up to Jared's ridicule. I have accepted this, and so should you! : )

Happy birthday, sweet girl! It has been the best year of my life, I can't wait to see what many many many more years bring!
I will have to post pictures of her actual birthday later, it is a CRAZY week. Just a little tidbit to leave you wanting more: I made coordinating tutus and shirts for the 2 birthday K's (Kate and Kerrigan) and they looked GOOOOOOD!

Such a beautiful post! Such a beautiful girl.
Happy birthday to Kerrigan.
I love how little she was and that the carseat swallowed her up. You have some awesome pictures.

Wow! I can't believe it's been a year already! Isn't it crazy how fast time flies once you have a kid?? Insane! So just to show you what an extremely small world it is, I went to my sister in law's house in Camp Verde and ended up meeting your cousin Adrian! She is so nice! I just had to tell you cause I thought it was soo cool! Anyway, I hope you're doing great! Have a great Christmas!!

I'm glad you didn't cut any of the pictures out, I love seeing them all! Isn't it crazy and a little unfair how fast a year goes by? Children are by far the most incredible blessing, and you are so good at always expressing your appreciation and love of being a mother. K is a lucky little girl! And happy birthday to her too! :)

Hi Lindsey! you look totally familiar...but I can't remember where I know you from!!! Were we in the same singles ward? Did we work together at Sizzler??
About Jovie's hair, she has really thin hair, so I put a bunch of gel in her hair...wet or dry. (Usually works better wet). Then I use Sponge Curlers! Very old school, but I love them. I start from the top and work my way down. Because her hair is so thin, it only takes 25-30 minutes to completely dry. If not, I blow dry the curlers till they are dry. After I take out all the curlers, I run my fingers through each one, and style it before I spray the hairspray. Aerosol hairspray holds the best!
You have a very cute daughter! Good Luck! :0)
